Another Busy Month in 3rd Class B!
We had plenty of fun learning this month! We have been learning all about The Respiratory System in Science, which involved drawing and creating diagrams and carrying out investigations whereby we compared our resting heart rate to our active heart rate. This was done by counting our pulse and doing some exercises!
We have also just completed our first novel ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’. We love Roald Dahl, and this novel was super! We enjoyed lots of paired reading, guided and choral reading while reading this book!
We have also been learning about the Stone Age. We designed quizzes in groups to ask other groups to complete to see who had been listening!
To finish the month, we created Christmas Cards for the residents in Abbey Nursing Home , Blackrock Co Louth using the care pack platform online. The children designed beautiful cards and wrote very thoughtful messages for the residents. We are looking forward to the last month of term 1!
