We were super excited in Junior Infants to welcome a local firefighter, Nigel, to our class! The two Junior Infant classes came together to hear all about the very important work a firefighter does and we got to see his protective clothing when at work. The children had some very clever questions to ask Nigel and some of us even got to try on his firefighters uniform. It was unbelievably exciting!
Nigel told us all about the importance of fire alarms so our homework is to check if our alarms are in working order at home. Our aim for the end of term is to know our address and eircode as this is vital when calling the emergency services.
