We celebrated Grandparents Day in our school with a prayer assembly. The theme of our prayer assembly was let your light shine. Grandparents brought home tea lights to remind grandparents of the presence of God in their lives and in the lives of their grandchildren. It also reminds us the light which their grandchildren brings to their lives. Our choir sung at the occasion and children from 6th Class assisted with readings. Our 6th Class children were also involved in the preparation and assisting with bringing grandparents to their grandchildren's classrooms. After our prayer assembly our grandparents had an opportunity to visit their grandchildren in their classrooms. There were cards, songs, poems and questionnaires for our grandparents. It was a memorable day for all.
