4th Class A have been reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and chose this as our theme to decorate our door for World Book Day.
The children worked so hard and did an amazing job planning, preparing and creating a Willy Wonka wonderland outside our classroom! 🍭
They also got very creative with potatoes to make characters from their favourite books - they are so impressive!
World Book Day itself was very exciting - we illustrated Willy Wonka with Quention Blake and we had a lovely reading session with some of our Junior Infants. We had a very competitive World Book Day Quiz with some homework passes up for grabs! We went on a tour of the school to see the other classroom doors that had been fabulously decorated for World Book Day. The children created the most amazing costumes from books they love and we even had an original character from a book series written by our very own author in the class!
