We celebrated Proclamation Day, 15th March 2016, in great style. The Irish Tricolour was raised by the four members of staff who are former pupils of the school. The Proclamation was then read by current pupils. This was followed by the 'Proclamation for a New Generation', creating a vision of Ireland for the future, composed by the children themselves. Finally,we all joined in a rousing rendition of 'Amhrán na bhFiann'. The pupils produced numerous interesting literary and artistic projects based on the events of 1916. Well done to all involved in this very memorable occasion!
